BIOGRAPHY
Born in Porsgrunn, Norway – the heartland of Norwegian fairy tales and myths – it is no wonder how Elisabeth de Lunde conceives her ideas for her thematic paintings, which often circle around myths and legends. Inspired by the Baroque style and Renaissance period, Lunde’s imaginative interpretation of The Divine Comedy and The Judgement of Paris offer a unique perspective on classic European folklore.
Lunde was educated at the Academy of Art in Florence, Italy and currently lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark where she exhibits her paintings at the prestigious Gallery Kampmann and in her own studio, Atelier de Lunde. Her works have been exhibited at many solo and collective exhibitions in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Poland and Germany.
